WHO ARE WE
TAHIRAH CARE was born from an intimate and personal journey: that of accompanying a loved one affected by lupus, on a daily basis, for many years.
It is through this experience that an often invisible reality has emerged: the lack of information, support and guidance for people with autoimmune diseases and their loved ones.
From this human experience came the desire not to remain a spectator, but to act, to build and create a structured, caring and accessible space, capable of informing, guiding and supporting those who need it.
This deep conviction is at the heart of TAHIRAH CARE:
an association founded on listening, dignity, solidarity and overall well-being, with a vision rooted in France, Senegal and the countries where its ambassadors are involved.
WHAT IS AN AUTOIMMUNE DISEASE ?
An autoimmune disease is linked to an abnormal functioning of the immune system, which mistakenly attacks certain components of the body, such as organs or cells. Lupus is one such disease, but there are many others, such as type 1 diabetes or rheumatoid arthritis.

The association is committed to a collaborative approach with key stakeholders, particularly in line with the recommendations of the national FAI²R network, including the Pitié-Salpêtrière reference center (Internal Medicine 2 – E3M) and the constituent center in Montpellier. It also develops collaborations with international partners.
