Djilène FAYE
Djilène FAYE
President & Founder of TAHIRAH CARE
After an initial entrepreneurial experience in the hairdressing and beauty sector, complemented by training in France and the United States, Djilène Faye gradually oriented her career towards coordination and administrative management roles.
She notably worked within the EDF group, then briefly at UNESCO, before serving as assistant to the Minister-Counselor, Head of the Economic Office at the Senegalese Embassy in Paris. In this capacity, she played a central role in support, organization, and management, contributing to the handling of strategic projects and assisting with official missions and events.
In parallel, she became involved in monitoring associative and humanitarian cases, in connection with procedures for exemption from import duties and taxes, in coordination with institutional actors in Senegal.
Continuing her career path, she was appointed by decree as a special advisor to the Protocol Office of the Presidency of Senegal. Today, she brings to bear on projects with a strong social impact her technical, administrative, and profoundly human expertise.
Her commitment also stems from a significant personal experience: over ten years of supporting a loved one within a leading hospital. This human experience allowed her to understand the concrete needs of patients and their families. It led her to create the TAHIRAH CARE association, conceived as a space for support, information, and resources to complement the medical journey.
Active in the non-profit sector and social entrepreneurship, she is also the founder of the DFWIG project, whose name combines her initials with the English word "wig," currently under development. Dedicated to medical wigs and hair solutions adapted to people experiencing hair loss due to illness or treatment, this project aims to contribute to their well-being, boost their self-confidence, and improve their quality of life.
She is also a member of Rotary International. Through TAHIRAH CARE and DFWIG, she promotes a vision based on listening, dignity and respectful support for each individual's journey, with the aim of providing concrete solutions to those affected, both in France and internationally.
